Overview

UNIPA’s Human Rights Program is dedicated to promoting, protecting, and advancing fundamental human rights and freedoms across all regions. In alignment with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), we advocate for justice, equality, and dignity for every human being — regardless of identity, nationality, or background.

Our Objectives

* Promote awareness of international human rights standards
* Advocate for the rights of marginalized and vulnerable communities
* Monitor and document rights violations
* Build local capacity in human rights education
* Collaborate with global rights networks and watchdogs

Program Components

1. Advocacy & Campaigns

  • Rights-based awareness campaigns (women, children, minorities)

  • Public actions: petitions, policy briefs, UN consultations

  • Observance of Human Rights Days & UN milestones

2. Education & Training

  • Human Rights Education in schools and community centers

  • Training youth leaders, teachers, activists on rights literacy

  • Workshops on digital rights, gender justice, and freedom of expression

3.  Monitoring & Reporting

  • Fact-finding missions and case documentation

  • Collaborations with legal aid groups & defenders

  • Publishing periodic “Rights Watch” regional reports

4. Protection & Support

  • Legal aid referrals for victims of violations

  • Mental health and trauma support for survivors

  • Safe spaces for human rights defenders and journalists

5. Global Solidarity Actions

  • Transnational alliances with human rights networks

  • UN and diplomatic engagement for accountability
